Jali Fily Cissokho

Master kora player Jali Fily Cissokho from Senegal, now resident in Witney, plays the kora (African harp) and sings melodies from his ancient Griot (praise singer/ oral historian) roots. He has recently recorded with Ar Rahman (of Slumdog Millionnaire) for the film Raavan. The charity concert is an urgent appeal for funds for the Ziguinchor Music Project and the people of Ziguinchor, Senegal ( ali Filys home town) who are currently being hit by heavy rainstorms. Bar refreshments available. £10 at the door.
